HAZARIBAG: Tragedy struck in Jharkhand’s Hazaribag district on Friday when a boiler at an aluminum factory exploded, claiming the lives of two persons, police said.
The incident unfolded at a factory located in Damodih village, within the jurisdiction of the Katkamdag police station.
The explosion occurred shortly after 1pm. At present, the exact cause of the incident remains under investigation, superintendent of police Manoj Ratan Chothe said.
The police have filed a an FIR against the factory owner, who resides in the Bada Bazar area.
The factory has been sealed off. The bodies of the deceased, identified as Ranjit Thakur and Sukhdeo Sao, both hailing from Bihar’s Gaya district, have been sent to the Sheikh Bhikhari Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem examination.
