4 Held For Impersonating Candidates In Nit Job Test | Bhubaneswar News – Times of India

ROURKELA: Four persons from Haryana were arrested by Sector-3 police here on Sunday for allegedly appearing on behalf of real candidates during a written test for the recruitment of non-teaching staff in the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela.
Rohan Dhiman, Registrar of NIT, Rourkela, lodged a complaint at Sector-3 police station on Saturday evening stating that four impersonation cases were detected while conducting the written examination for the post of junior assistant held from August 16 to 27 on the institute’s campus.
As per the complaint, the photographs on the admit cards were not matching with the candidates appeared for the examinations. E-admit cards were issued to one Deepak, Suraj Khagwal, Tushar and Deepak Malik, but one Sunil Kumar appeared for Deepak, Garab Chauhan appeared for Suraj Khagwal, Punit Singh appeared for Tushar, and Munish Kumar appeared for Deepak Malik.
After the preliminary interrogation, the four accused were arrested on Sunday.
