5G is now available in over 50 cities in India

5G was launched in India a few months ago, but its availability has been mostly limited to urban cities and here is a comprehensive list of where you can try 5G in India.

5G launched in India in October and many expected the roll out to be faster and introduce 5G data services sooner. However, it has been two months since the official bow of 5G in India and we are yet to see all the telecom operators launching their 5G networks.

According to several reports, 5G promises 4x faster data speeds, which means faster data exhaustion. According to the Government of India, 5G is now available in around 50 cities in the country, spread across 13 states. The details were last recorded in November and shared in Parliament. You can also say that cities like Noida and Gurugram also offer 5G services now, so the actual list could be much longer than the one mentioned here. 5G phones are available in India from 2020, and users can finally use their phones to experience high-speed data. Brands like Xiaomi, Realme, OnePlus and Oppo have made their 5G phones compatible with the network in the country.

iPhones in India now support 5G on both the Jio 5G and Airtel 5G networks. The iOS 16.2 update was rolled out for the iPhone 12 and later models this week. Google is yet to release its 5G-centric update for Pixel phones in the country.
