Abhishek Banerjee’s attack on the Centre, said- if MPs cannot criticize the government, then stop holding elections

Trinamool Congress leader Abhishek Banerjee criticized the central government for omitting some words from the parliamentary proceedings.

He said: “There is no point in holding elections then, run it like China. If we cannot use ‘shame’, if we cannot criticize the ‘failure’ of the government and call it ‘corruption’, then there is no point in the election.”

“Corruption, arrogance, shame, traitor, we cannot use all these words. They will decide what to say, what not to say, what to eat and what not to eat. Even in British times, this was not the situation ,” the MP said while overseeing the arrangements for the TMC Martyrs Day rally.

The national general secretary of TMC was also in an aggressive mood to criticize the BJP government at the Centre. He also attacked the BJP government over the symbol issue.

“They are changing names, symbols. The way they came up with the symbol is not correct. The President should have inaugurated it. They are not paying minimum respect to the President.

Bengal Law Minister Mili Ghatak has been summoned by CBI while Banerjee said, “Sudipto Sen has named Suvendu that he has taken money, yet CBI is not calling him.” Central agencies have been told to call only TMC leaders but we will not bow down.

He also insisted that he does not believe in the word North Bengal as there is no question of division according to Dakshin or North.
