Andhra Pradesh: Government employees demand implementation of 11th PRC recommendations and timely payment of salary and pension

Government employees owing their allegiance to the Joint Action Committee (JAC) of AP Government Employees Service Associations – Amravati staged a protest at Lenin Center here on April 8 (Saturday) demanding redressal of their long pending grievances, mainly There was a demand to implement the 11th pay. Recommendations of the Revision Commission (PRC).

JAC chairman Bopparaju Venkateswarlu said the government should first pay salaries, pensions and other benefits on the first day of every month. He also wanted the government to pay PRC dues and pending Dearness Allowance (DA) installments without any delay.

He regretted that the government has not yet paid heed to the demands of the employees and insisted that at least now their plight should be given due attention. Along with this, he alleged that service rules are being openly violated.

Unfortunately, the government’s financial crisis was being attributed to the expenditure on salaries and pensions of the employees. Mr. Venkateswarlu warned that the workers would further intensify their agitation if the government took a backseat in accepting their legitimate demands.

Carrying placards and banners, the workers raised slogans against the “negligence” of the government in addressing the issues raised by them as part of their ongoing agitation.
