Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal has reportedly been pushed to December.
Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal is one of the most awaited film starring Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and others.
While 2022 was all about Ranbir Kapoor’s Brahmastra, this year the actor has a lot in store for us. Currently, the actor is filming for Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film Animal opposite Rashmika Mandanna. The film which has already filled everyone with anticipation has seen several exciting developments such as Bobby Deol joining the film and a few glimpses of Ranbir Kapoor’s character from the film being leaked. However, recently it came to light that Ranbir Kapoor’s film may not release on its scheduled date i.e. 11th August. However, the reason for this might not be the clash with Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 and Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2.
If sources close to entertainment portal Bollywood Hungama are to be believed, the film will now release in December due to some improvements in the VFX department. The source told the portal, “Animal is one of the most ambitious films produced by Bhushan Kumar and Murad Khetani, and they stand by director Sandeep Reddy Vanga as they need more time to deliver a world-class product. Sandeep is a perfectionist and wants to release an uncompromising product on the VFX front. The teams were working day and night to complete the film, but the action sequences are so grand that it is not possible to prepare the best version of them for August 11. After seeing the vision and output for Sandeep which would have been ready on 11 August, the makers along with Ranbir Kapoor made a collective call to delay the film to December.
But the delay would mean that the film might clash with another upcoming entertainer Tiger 3 starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, titled “The team believes the film will get 3 weeks to arrive on 1st December Because no other film would want to come.” Between 3 event sagas – Tiger 3, Animal, and Donkey. It is a well strategic date that they have decided, and a delay of 4 months will give the makers enough time to complete the VFX work.”
Animal director Sandeep Reddy Vanga tweeted the film’s poster on New Year. Ranbir Kapoor can be seen smoking a cigarette while staring at someone. He is wearing a white shirt stained with blood and in his hand is an ax which is also stained with blood. The film’s release date of August 11 was also revealed along with the poster. Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Shakti Kapoor and Tripti Dimri all have important roles in the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial.
