On July 4, the Parliamentary Standing Committee for Finance has scheduled a meeting to address the issues of cyber security and cyber threats. During this meeting, senior officials of various banks have been called to make comprehensive presentations on measures to combat cyber threats and enhance cyber security within the country.
The focus of the upcoming meeting is focused on the topic “”.Cyber security and increasing incidence of cyber/white-collar crimes.”
“Oral evidence of representatives Punjab National Bank (PNB), Bank of India, yes bank and the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) read out the agenda of the committee on the topic ‘Cyber Security and the Rising Incidence of Cyber/White-collar Crimes’.
The committee has also called representatives PaytmFlipkart, Google and Apple will provide oral testimony on the topic “Cyber security and the rising incidence of cyber/white-collar crimes”.
Moreover, the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Finance has raised apprehensions about the increasing number of cyber threat incidents in the country.
