Former CPI(M) MP Laxman Seth recently shared some exciting news – he tied the knot for the second time just a few days ago. The newly surfaced picture shows the happy couple Laxman Seth and his second wife Manashi Dey spreading happiness on their special day.

Kolkata native Manashi Dey holds a prominent position as the head of a prestigious five-star hotel in the city. Seth’s path crossed with Dey through a mutual acquaintance in Kolkata, leading to their initial relationship. With time, their bond grew stronger, which culminated in their decision to embark on the journey of marriage.

Laxman Seth and Manashi Dey tied the knot recently in a legal ceremony held in Kolkata. The housewarming ceremony saw a heartfelt exchange of garlands between the couple. Initially, Seth confirms their marriage but chooses to keep the identity of his new wife a secret. However, finally, photographs were revealed to the public that captured the blissful moments of the newlyweds.

Laxman Seth, once an influential leader and former MP from Tamluk belonging to the CPI(M), is currently 78 years old. In 2016, he lost his first wife, Tamalika Panda Seth, who was also a former MLA from Mahishadal. During the marriage Laxman and Tamalika had two sons.

Talking to the media after his recent marriage, Seth said that he was battling deep loneliness after the passing away of his first wife. “I had been suffering from intense loneliness since the death of my first wife. So I decided to get married for the second time.”

He said, ‘I will soon organize a function in Kolkata to celebrate the wedding reception. Apart from members of my own present party, leaders of other political parties will also be invited to attend. Apart from the Congress, members of other political parties will also be present.”

They also expressed their desire to return to their hometown Haldia to complete the post-wedding celebrations after the event in Kolkata.

The news of Seth’s second marriage reached Trinamool MLA Madan Mitra, who congratulated the newlyweds on hearing the news. Madana Mitra remarked in his own words, “As age grows, love grows. I will bring red roses if he calls me. I will tell Lakshmanada, oh dear!”
