A Bengaluru man arrested for stealing cash from a toy shop and clothing store in Parrys Corner Chennai
The Flower Bazaar police on Thursday arrested a Bengaluru man for allegedly stealing by breaking the locks of shops in Parry Corner.
On July 1, the locks of a toy shop run by 62-year-old Musa Mohammad were broken and Rs 1.40 lakh was stolen, police said. Next day ₹5 lakh was stolen from Mukesh’s adjoining clothes shop. Both the cases were taken up by the Flower Bazar Police.
On checking the CCTV footage, the police found a person carrying out the crime. Based on the registration number of the car he was driving, the police traced the accused. He has been identified as N.K. Palayam of CK Palayam, Bengaluru. As Anand and arrested him.
Police have recovered Rs 3.99 lakh from him, three mobile phones, an SUV, iron rods, gloves and masks which he used to commit the crime. He had 10 criminal cases registered against him in Bengaluru and five in Hosur. He was sent to judicial custody.
