CBI has registered a case against NGO Oxfam India and its officials. This organization has been accused of violating the country’s foreign funding rules. Raid continues at Oxfam’s office since morning.

According to the complaint lodged by the Home Ministry against Oxfam, Rs 1.5 crore was directly transferred to the organization between 2013 and 2016 in its Foreign Contribution Utilization Account. As per the rules, this money should be transferred to the bank.

It was also stated in this complaint that Oxfam had transferred Rs 12.71 lakh to the Center for Policy Research (CPR) in violation of the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) in 2019-20. Due to this, in January last year, the FCRA license of Oxfam India was canceled by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
