Cab driver arrested for stabbing teenager to death in Delhi | Delhi News – Times of India

New Delhi: Days after an 18-year-old boy Akash was stabbed to death by a cab driver near a shelter home in Sarai Kale Khan, the Delhi Police has arrested the accused.
Police said they received a PCR call about an incident of stabbing during a quarrel near Sarai Kale Khan bus stand on May 4. The team of the local police station reached the spot.
Police said the victim had gone to the gurudwara with his friends. While returning, one of the boys accidentally hit a passerby, who then started shouting and abusing him.
Rupesh Kumar, who works for a cab aggregator, saw the fight while passing by in his car and called the police. He then intervened in the fight and hit Akash with a wooden stick, causing the victim to fall.
Later Akash’s sister came to know about the incident and sent her brothers Vikas and Gaurav to the spot. He along with Akash and his three friends started another argument with the taxi driver. That’s when Kumar allegedly attacked Akash with a knife, police said.
