Due to heavy rains in Chhattisgarh, rail traffic has come to a complete standstill due to a landslide on the KK rail line connecting Bastar to Kottavalasa in Andhra Pradesh. It is being told that boulders have fallen on the rail track due to landslides in Borrahlu and Karakvalsa areas near Araku rail section, about 250 km from Jagdalpur. Due to this, the rail traffic on this line has been disrupted.

After getting the information about the accident, the work of repairing the track is going on on a war footing. DRM is monitoring the entire work. According to railway officials, if there is no heavy rain, this route will be repaired in 24 hours. Apart from 4 passenger trains, more than 23 freight trains pass on this route.

According to the information received from DRM Anoop Satapati of East Coast Railway Visakhapatnam Railway Division, a land slide has occurred between Borraguhalu near Araku railway station. On Monday late evening, big rocks broke and fell on the tracks. Due to being a hill station, there is a fear of accident in the rainy season. Due to which the route has been obstructed. After getting information about the incident, DRM Anoop Satpati himself reached the spot with the accident refill train. The work of restoring the road is being done since night.
