Ashoka Shettar, Vice Chancellor, key In a release issued on Wednesday, the Technological University said that Meity has selected 51 incubators under the ‘Technology Incubation and Development of Entrepreneurs (TIDE) 2.0’ scheme to promote technological entrepreneurship.
“The ministry allocated Rs 3.1 crore to KLE CTIE to support startups. KLE CTIE has supported 20 tech startups so far, is targeting 10 or more startups by the end of this financial year,” said Dr Ashok Shettar.
Congratulating the winners for receiving the grant, Shivayogi Turmari of KLE CTIE said that Meity has received 264 investment proposals from 41 Tide 2.0 centres. Out of these, 72 proposals were shortlisted. We are proud to announce that KLE CTIE has been selected to support the Startups for Investment Scale-up program under the Tide 2.0 initiative,” he said.
“We have run the Call for Applications campaign for five days and have received over 25 applications from across India, and eight innovations have been shortlisted. An amount of Rs 21 lakh was disbursed to support the ideation stage and prototype development,” said professor Shivraj Hublikar.
