College student suffers multiple fractures in clash | Rajkot News – Times of India

Rajkot: A fight broke out between two groups of students in a college in Jamnagar over a minor issue. Police said a student was thrashed with iron pipes and sticks by the rival group, causing him to break several bones.
Based on the complaint of injured student Ajay Jadeja (20), the police booked Sahil Chavda and six others for assault and rioting.
According to Jadeja, on April 25, he was at Vidya Sagar College to appear for the exam. When he came out after giving the exam, Chavda confronted him and accused him of acting smart in the college. Jadeja tried to defend himself and denied Chavda’s allegation. This enraged Chavda and he started beating her.
Soon, Chavda’s friends in a vehicle joined them and allegedly attacked Jadeja with sticks and iron pipes. He also threatened Jadeja of dire consequences if he dared to set foot in the college again.
After Jadeja lodged a complaint, the police collected CCTV footage from areas near the college and recorded statements of witnesses. Police said that none of the accused has been arrested.
