The court will hear the fifth chargesheet filed by ED against Manish Sisodia in the Delhi liquor policy case today. On May 4, the investigating agency filed the fourth supplementary (fifth charge sheet) in the court. In which ED made Sisodia an accused for the first time and said that he is the main conspirator in this case.

Earlier, the probe agency had alleged in the third supplementary charge sheet that there was a conspiracy in the liquor policy case by the so-called ‘South Group’ comprising some senior leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party and BSR leader Kavitha, YSR Congress MP. The ED had claimed in the second supplementary charge sheet filed in the court that Vijay Nair and several leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party were acting at the behest of Manish Sisodia.

ED arrested 12 people
Explain that ED is probing money laundering in the case. The agency had arrested the former Delhi Deputy CM from Tihar Jail on March 9. Since then he is in the custody of the agency. On May 8, the court extended his custody till May 23 in the ED case. On the other hand, the agency has so far arrested 11 other people in the case. On the other hand, in the case of CBI, the court had extended the custody of Manish Sisodia till May 12. He was arrested by the CBI on February 24 in the liquor policy case.

Court dismisses bail plea in ED case
On the other hand, on April 28, the court refused to grant bail to Sisodia in the ED case. Justice Nagpal said that it was Sisodia who changed the eligibility of liquor vendors and their profit margin. This work was done without discussion with the ministers.

The former Deputy CM had changed the Group of Ministers report according to the needs of the South Lobby. ED has evidence that Sisodia is involved in money laundering crime. Therefore, the bail application of Sisodia is dismissed.

Hearing on bail in CBI case going on in High Court
In the CBI case, Sisodia approached the High Court for bail. During the hearing of the case, the court told the CBI that if you have the evidence on which you trust, show it to us as well. The ASG had argued on behalf of the CBI that Sisodia was capable of pressurizing people. The day he was arrested, he broke his phone.

On this, the court asked for proof – do you have proof? We cannot go into much detail in the phase of bail. You show the evidence that you are relying on yourself.
