Interestingly, Vivek Agnihotri’s tweet comes at a time when Sonakshi Sinha-starrer Coating, in which she plays a cop, is getting rave reviews on the internet. Sonakshi plays a cop in this thriller and it seems Vivek has secretly taken a dig at her.
The filmmaker tweeted, “Some observations: 1. Bollywood actors think they can become Rajasthani characters by saying hukum… mharo… tharo…. He can speak the rest of the dialogues in his Punjabi, Bombay, Tamil, Kannada accent. 2. To become a cop, all you need to do is wear tight fitting khaki clothes. with lots of makeup.
He further added, “3. They think acting dull and boring, speaking dialogues so slow that no one can understand, is good, cool acting. 4. If you look at ultra modern looking, white and cute, urban actors, some speak Rajasthani words and use unnecessary abuses, the audience is so fooled that they will believe that these actors are actually Rajasthani. Rajasthan Rajasthan, You can’t afford so many layers of makeup. 6. Please stop fitting your western movie inspirations to Rajasthan. 7. The audience is not dumb. You. Now repeat this a million times.
