DRM inaugurates Walking Track, Augmented Dining Hall at ETTC

Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Shivendra Mohan on Wednesday inaugurated enhanced kitchen-dining hall and walking track for loco pilots at the Electric Traction and Training Center (ETTC) at Satyanarayanapuram.

Additional DRM (Operations) M. Srikanth, ADRM (Infrastructure) D. Srinivasa Rao and officers of various departments participated in the programme.

ETTC, Vijayawada provides various training programs like induction, refresher, promotional, conversion, simulator training on train dynamics to the Running, TRS, EMU and TRD staff of Vijayawada South Central Railway (SCR) and sometimes to staff of other railway zones. ,

Every year on an average 7,000 loco pilot trainees avail training programs in various categories. ETTC is well equipped with hostel and canteen facilities for the trainees.

Shri Shivendra Mohan said that Vijayawada Division was at the forefront in implementing the employee welfare measures. He said that ETTC is a premier organization and a center of excellence in imparting training to Loco Pilots, who are most important and essential in the day to day functioning of Railways.

The DRM said that the Center has bagged many awards in the field of energy conservation and green initiatives and has made the Mandal proud on several occasions.
