Easy winding up of business: Government sets up center for processing speedy corporate exits

The center has been set up as part of a series of measures to further improve the ease of doing business and ease of exit for companies.

The center is located at the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) in Manesar, Haryana.

The government on Saturday said it has set up the Center for Processing Accelerated Corporate Exits (C-PACE) to ensure timely and processful de-registration of companies from records as well as provide more meaningful data to stakeholders.

The center has been set up by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

“The establishment of C-PACE will help in reducing the stress on the registry along with keeping the registry clean as well as availability of more meaningful data to the stakeholders. C-PACE will help stakeholders in hassle-free filing, timely and orderly removal of their company names from the register, the ministry said in a release.

According to the ministry, the center has been set up as part of a number of measures taken to improve ease of doing business and ease of exit for companies.
