The eight-day ‘Ente Keralam’ celebrations to mark the second anniversary of the state government concluded here on Saturday with an exhibition and a series of development seminars. Literary critic MK Sanu inaugurated the closing ceremony at Marine Drive. Industries Minister P. Rajeev presided over it.
A seminar on the economic development of the state and the role of cooperatives was one of the major events on Saturday. M.Ramanunni, Director, Agricultural Cooperative Employees Training Institute, delivered the keynote address at the seminar. He said that cooperatives have played a central role in bringing Kerala to the top of the list of states for its achievements in social and economic development. He also said that cooperatives should work closely with local government bodies. District Collector NSK Umesh was also present on the occasion.
