Recently a meeting of constituents of NDA was held in Delhi. In this, the picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chirag Paswan was discussed. Chirag contested the 2020 Bihar assembly elections without any alliance. Now he has returned to NDA. These questions are being discussed in political circles whether Chirag will get a place in the Union Cabinet? Will the Lok Janshakti Party, divided into two factions, unite and contest the Lok Sabha elections, will the distance between uncle Pashupati Paras and nephew Chirag disappear? In a special conversation with Amar Ujala, late leader Ram Vilas Paswan’s son and MP Chirag Paswan answered these questions.
Chirag Paswan: There was not much talk. He just asked about your well being. I think maybe this moment became public through pictures and videos that day, but I felt this moment many times. Many times the word Hanuman was used as a taunt for me. Many times I was taunted as to why you never speak anything against the Prime Minister. BJP did this to you, did that… Things were said all over the world. It was said that still you remain a devotee of the Prime Minister. However, I had the same relationship with my Prime Minister.
This relationship deepened with him when my father was in the hospital. His health was bad. Like a member of the family, the Prime Minister took care of me and my family. During that time the Prime Minister used to call directly twice a day. Not only did he know the condition of his father, but after consulting the doctors, he used to tell us what we should do now. I always had that respect for him. Just because I have parted ways with the alliance, then I start speaking against them, it has never been in my values. At that time, many types of allegations were also leveled against me, but I always expressed my relationship with him. I and the Prime Minister always maintained that decorum. A very beautiful glimpse of the same relationship was seen in the meeting that day.
