The first batch of students who completed the Marugeto Japanese language program received their certificates at the National Institute of Technology-Calicut (NIT-C) on Thursday.
This achievement has been made possible with the support of NIT-C and Japan Foundation (JF), said a press release.
Addressing the students, Yoshifumi Murakami, a representative of JF, emphasized the importance of the Japanese language and the innovative teaching methods employed in the program.
In his presidential address, Prasad Krishna, Director, NIT-C, underlined the importance of learning new languages and the role of the Marugato Japanese Language Program in promoting cultural exchange between India and Japan.
PS Sathidevi, Deputy Director, NIT-C appreciated the efforts of the faculty members for contributing to the success of the programme. The event was organized by the Center for International Relations and Foreign Languages. On this occasion, language instructor Sachin Negi, Prof. of Mathematics Department. Satyanand Panda and program coordinator Dr. Baiju G. Nair delivered the lecture.
