Mumbai: HDFC bank MD & CEO Sashadhar JagdishanIn his first communication to shareholders after the HDFC-HDFC Bank merger, he said the bank would put in more efforts to improve customer service and build an inclusive organizational culture to address staff shortages.
“We are making progress on our customer service, but I believe this journey needs to get faster every year. A lot more remains to be done and I am fully committed to further improve our customer centricity,” said Jagadishan. He said that a ‘Service First’ culture is not possible without an organizational culture that serves as the foundation for it. The CEO also addressed instances where some may violate the defined way managers work, highlighting the bank’s resolve to address such issues through training, counseling and appropriate action. “We are taking concrete steps towards building an inclusive organization,” he added.
