Gangster Kaushal appeals in the High Court.

Gangster Kaushal, lodged in a Punjab jail, is facing the threat of police encounter and gang war in jail. Kaushal has appealed to the Punjab Haryana High Court to install CCTV cameras inside the jails. At present, Kaushal is lodged in Sangrur Jail and has about 38 cases registered against him.

According to the information received, gangster Kaushal has filed a petition in the Punjab Haryana High Court. The High Court, while hearing the application of gangster Kaushal, has also asked the Punjab government to present the status report within a month. Apart from Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh have also been made parties in this whole case.

The hearing sought installation of CCTV cameras at entry and exit points of police stations and outposts in Chandigarh and Haryana. At the same time, the Punjab government says that the work of installing cameras is going on, which will be completed soon.

Order to give status report in 1 month

While hearing the matter, Justice Alok Jain ordered the Punjab government to present the status report in one month. Gangster Kaushal said in the petition that there are 38 cases registered against him. He is lodged in Sangrur Jail and it is feared that he will be encountered while being taken for questioning. Therefore, CCTV cameras should be installed at the entry and exit points in the jails of Punjab.
