Google Drive gets PDF annotation on Android, how to use it – Times of India

before the arrival of pixel Gun Shot, Google Optimizing first-party apps for tablets. There’s a new update on Google DriveWhich now enables users to annotate PDFs using either a stylus or their finger.
This feature will allow freehand writing of annotations directly on the files displayed on the Drive preview screen Android Device.
Here’s how to annotate PDFs on Google Drive for Android
A to comment PDF On the Google Drive app, follow the steps below.

  1. Open the Google Drive app.
  2. Find and open the PDF you want to annotate.
  3. Tap on the Annotate button in the lower right corner.
  4. A toolbar will appear with various annotating tools. You can choose to use either the stylus or your finger to select the desired annotation tool.

The annotating tool offers a pen with different brush sizes and colors, and an eraser for highlighter and specific lines.
Users also get the option to undo and redo their actions and to display or hide annotations without deleting them. Additionally, the annotating toolbar can be placed by tapping and holding on any side of the screen.
Once done with writing, users can save the annotations to the original PDF or create a new copy with all the annotations. If you choose to create a new copy with annotations, the original PDF will remain unchanged.
This new combination is expected to significantly enhance the tablet experience, especially when used with a stylus. The ability to annotate PDFs on the phone would also prove handy in a pinch, especially for tasks like signing documents.
As of now, the PDF annotation feature for Google Drive is rolling out in a phased manner, so many users are yet to receive the feature. We expect it to be available to everyone in the coming weeks.
