Actor Gulshan Devaiah recently made headlines when he jokingly said that he charges Rs 25 lakh per scene, which sent the media and his fans into a tizzy. However, the actor has now issued a clarification on Twitter, stating that he “stands accused of acting less than his co-stars and not lifting them up.” , But he will not stop trying.
“No, no, Baba. I charge Rs 25 lakh for a scene from my co-actors, so I act a little less so as not to upset them. No one has paid this fee yet but that’s not stopping me from trying to harass my co-actors,” he wrote in his latest tweet.

Responding to Gulshan Devaiah’s clarifying tweet, his co-star in Dahad, Vijay Varma jokingly teased him and asked how much he should deduct for his overacting. Vijay wrote, “And how much should be deducted for overacting?” The comment shows the camaraderie between the two actors and adds a comic touch to the situation.
For a quick recap: Gulshan Devaiah claimed to charge Rs 25 lakh per scene during the trailer launch event of his upcoming film Dahad. At the event, he was heard to say, “Main kabhi aapki makers ki agar ensemble ko cast hai to main abhishek thoda kam kar loonga bas paise thoda jyada de dena jaise 25 lakh rupees.” After a brief pause, he said, “Per scene, I charge 25 lakhs per scene, yes I have said it before, I am quite rich.”
However, after some outlets took the statement seriously, Gulshan clarified that he was only joking and never intended to outshine his co-stars. He even made a humorous remark that he takes more money in ensemble casts so that he can act less and not overwhelm his co-stars.
Talking about Dahaad, the crime mystery thriller series is about to premiere Amazon Prime Video on 12 May. Apart from Gulshan and Vijay, Sonakshi Sinha will also be there in this project. In the series, while Gulshan Devaiah, Sonakshi Sinha and Sohum Shah will play cops, Vijay Varma will be seen essaying the character of a serial killer.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Gulshan was last seen in Ajay Behl’s Blur, which starred Taapsee Pannu in the lead. Apart from Dahad, Gulshan will also be seen in The Family Man famed directors Raj & DK’s upcoming series Guns N Gulab. The comedy crime series stars Rajkummar Rao, Dulquer Salmaan and Adarsh Gaurav in lead roles.
