Haryana Police, SDRF carried out rescue operation in flood affected areas. Chandigarh News – Times of India

Chandigarh: Due to heavy rains Yamuna and its tributaries and plains are inundated. Haryana Director General of Police (DGP) PK Aggarwal directed the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) of IRB Haryana Police to lead the rescue operation in the affected districts.
To effectively handle the rescue efforts, a special team of 74 police personnel trained in flood rescue operations has been deployed. The rescue operation will be monitored by two Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSSP) and an Inspector, who will coordinate and lead the efforts.
SDRF teams are working tirelessly, as a result of which around 800 people have been successfully rescued from the inundated areas. These persons have been safely shifted to safer places to ensure their well-being during this challenging period.
Haryana Police, in collaboration with other concerned authorities and stakeholders, is fully committed to address the current situation and provide necessary assistance to those affected. The situation is being closely monitored, and additional measures are being implemented as needed to ensure the safety and well-being of people in the affected areas.
