Indigo and Vistara airlines have fired a couple who beat and tortured a 10-year-old girl. The accused husband worked in Vistara airline, while the wife was a pilot in Indigo.

Vistara Airlines said that we do not support violence in any way. We had received a complaint from the employee, after which this decision was taken.

In fact, a couple living in Delhi’s Dwarka area was accused of making a 10-year-old girl do household chores and torturing her.

The mob had thrashed both on Wednesday
On Wednesday, the mob had thrashed the couple fiercely. The video of the incident also came to the fore. The crowd is seen arguing with the couple at the beginning of the video. The woman pilot apologizes with folded hands, but after some time the crowd pulls the woman pilot out and starts slapping her. The woman’s husband tries to save her, but the mob thrashes him too.

In the video, the woman is seen with folded hands in front of the crowd. During this she was in the pilot’s uniform.

Police arrested husband and wife
On getting information about the matter, the police had got the minor girl medically examined. In this, many marks of injury and burning were found on the girl’s body.

Dwarka DCP M Harsha Vardhan said that a case was registered against the couple under IPC sections 323 (assault), 324 (causing grievous hurt), 342 (wrongful confinement) and Child Labor Act. Both the accused were arrested. On Thursday, the court sent the pilot’s husband to judicial custody till August 2.

There, the girl was counselled.

Bruises and burn marks can be seen on the hand and under the eye of the child.

According to media reports, the couple hired a 10-year-old girl two months ago to do household chores. On Wednesday, a relative of the girl had noticed bruises on her hand. After this the local people alleged that they used to beat the girl and thrashed the couple.
