‘Uljh’ follows the journey of a young IFS officer belonging to a prominent family of patriots, who gets embroiled in a dangerous personal intrigue away from her home turf in a career-defining post. Written by Parvez Shaikh and Sudhanshu Sariya, with dialogues by Atika Chauhan, this new-age thriller promises to be unlike anything the audience has seen in this genre.
Excited about being a part of Uljh, Janhvi said, “When I was approached with the script of ‘Uljh’, it instantly appealed to me because as an actor, I am constantly on the lookout for scripts that appeal to me. Stepping out of my comfort zone and portraying a character based in the famous world of the Indian Foreign Service was all it took.As the name of the film suggests, my character and the story have a lot of layers, emotions and parameters, Which is challenging and exciting at the same time. The audience is thrilled to see me in this new role conceptualized by Sudhanshu, who has a fresh perspective to tackle this genre.
