Yasin is serving life sentence in Tihar Jail. Yasin was today produced before the Supreme Court for hearing on the CBI’s appeal against the Jammu court’s order.
Kashmiri terrorist Yasin Malik appeared in the Supreme Court on Friday. The judge got angry seeing him in the court. The bench of Justice Suryakant and Dipankar Dutta said that we had not given any such order, which said that he has to appear in court in person. There will be a virtual hearing in this case.
Yasin is serving a life sentence in Tihar Jail after being convicted in the terror funding case. Yasin was today produced before the Supreme Court for hearing on the CBI’s appeal against the Jammu court’s order.
Yasin Malik was sentenced to life imprisonment by the NIA court in 2022 on charges of terror funding case, UAPA and waging war against the country.
A judge hearing the case recused himself from the hearing
Justice Dipankar Dutta, who is hearing Yasin’s case, has recused himself from the case. Justice Suryakant said that the matter would be taken up for hearing after four weeks. It will be heard by another bench, Justice Datta will not be its member.
He said, if Yasin has something to say, he will connect virtually. He will not be produced in the court.
Yasin used to fund terrorist attacks in Kashmir
Yasin Malik was sentenced to life imprisonment by the NIA court in 2022 on charges of terror funding case, UAPA and waging war against the country. Yasin was punished in several streams. Life imprisonment in two cases and 10 years in other cases. All the sentences will run concurrently.
Several cases were registered against Yasin related to funding terrorist attacks in Kashmir with the support of Pakistan and providing arms to terrorists.
Attack on Air Force personnel in Srinagar
Malik is accused of attacking Air Force personnel in Srinagar on January 25, 1990. In this incident, 40 people were injured, while four soldiers were martyred. Squadron Leader Ravi Khanna was one of them. All of them were waiting for the vehicle to go to the airport, when the terrorists attacked them.
Malik had also mentioned this in the interview given to the media.
Accused of killing Kashmiri Pandits
Along with this, Malik is also accused of having links with Pakistani terrorists. Along with this, there have also been allegations of kidnapping of Rubia Sayeed, daughter of former Jammu and Kashmir CM Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. Yasin also played an important role in killing Kashmiri Pandits in 1990 and forcing them to leave the valley.

Yasin Malik is a Kashmiri terrorist and separatist leader. He is associated with the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF). He has always been active in the politics of Kashmir. He is accused of inciting the youth and motivating them to take up guns in their hands.
