KAHSTA criticized the government. Decision to increase the number of students in plus two classes

The Kerala Aided Higher Secondary Teachers’ Association (KAHSTA) has condemned the state cabinet’s decision to increase the number of students in Plus One classes as “unscientific”.

Office-bearers of the association’s state committee on Wednesday demanded that the government cap the number of students in each class at 50 as per the proposals of the V. Karthikeyan Nair Committee and the directions of the Kerala High Court.

He pointed out that admitting 65 students in each class would destroy the quality of education. He said that the government should sanction new batches to ensure that all those who score high marks in the SSLC exam get admission in various courses.
