Kerala Ki Kahani: Amid controversies, Adah Sharma starrer to now release in 37 countries

Last week too, Adah Sharma gave a befitting reply to those who called The Kerala Story a ‘propaganda’ film.

Kerala Story has been making headlines since its release for many reasons. While the film has been banned in West Bengal, it has also been declared tax-free in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Amidst all this the film is now all set to release in about 37 other countries. On Wednesday, The Kerala Story lead actress Adah Sharma shared the same on Twitter. He also expressed his gratitude to the fans for showering love on his film.

“Thank you to all the crores of people who are going to watch our film, thank you for trending it, thank you for loving my performance. This weekend the 12th #TheKeralaStory releases internationally in 37 countries (or more) (red heart emojis) #adahsharma,” she wrote.

This comes at a time when Kerala Story is also inching closer to Rs 60 crore at the Indian box office. The film has so far earned Rs 56.86 crore.

Last week too, Adah Sharma gave a befitting reply to those who called The Kerala Story a ‘propaganda’ film. “And some are still calling #TheKeralaStory a propaganda film, saying these incidents do not exist even after seeing testimonials of many Indian victims, My humble request, Google two words ISIS and Brides…maybe you heard White girls have an account you might think our Indian film is real.”

Released on 5 May, Kerala Story revolves around the stories of Hindu women from Kerala who were converted to Islam and trafficked to the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS). It is produced by Vipul Shah.
