The actress took to Twitter to condemn the act and urged that “severe punishment” be given to those behind the horrific incident. The Satyaprem Ki Katha star also prayed, hoping that the women get justice soon.

Kiara tweeted, “Those responsible must face the harshest punishment they deserve. His tweet comes just hours after Akshay condemned the incident. He tweeted that he was “shaken” and “disgusted” by the video. Other stars like Vivek Agnihotri, Sonu Sood and Richa Chadha also reacted to the gory video.

There have been reports of violent clashes in Manipur since May 3. A video surfaced online showing a group of men parading two women naked and caught the nation’s attention. The incident reportedly took place in Kangpokpi district in May. Till the time of publishing this report, one of the accused had been arrested.
After the video went viral, Prime Minister Narendra Modi assured that the culprits “will not be spared.” Addressing the media outside Parliament before the start of the monsoon session, PM Modi said, “What happened to the daughters of Manipur can never be forgiven. The incident is shameful for the country, the culprits will not be spared.
