Kiev, which had been relatively spared from attacks since the beginning of the year, suffered frequent night air raids in May.
The overnight drone strike also targeted the western port city of Odessa, according to Sergiy Brachuk of the local administration.
Air defense has been activated, he said without giving details.
Air alerts were also reported in the Mykolaiv, Kherson, Kirovograd, Poltava, Sumy and Kharkiv regions.
