Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee President Nana Patole on Wednesday urged Governor Ramesh Bais to dismiss the Eknath Shinde-led government. 14 people died Reportedly due to heatstroke at the Maharashtra Bhushan Awards ceremony on 16 April.

Sharing a video of the award ceremony which was attended by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Mr Patole tweeted, “Are the deaths a result of the stampede? What is the government trying to hide?

He demanded that a case of culpable homicide be registered against the state government and Chief Minister Mr. Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis should resign immediately. “I request Governor Ramesh Bais to dismiss this government,” he said.
