More than 30 families trapped in landslide

A major accident has taken place in Raigad, Maharashtra. In fact, more than 30 families are feared trapped in the landslide in Raigad. Please tell that this accident happened in Irshalwadi village of Khalapur tehsil of Raigarh, in which about 100 people are trapped. The place where the accident took place is six kilometers away from the Morbi dam. Many people are feared to have died in the accident. So far four bodies have been recovered and three people are injured. The injured have been admitted to hospital. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has also reached the spot.
Relief and rescue operations underway
Raigarh District Magistrate Yogesh Mahase said that the incident took place in the middle of the night. A team, comprising Sub Divisional Officer and Tehsildar has reached the spot. The District Magistrate said that one has to trek for two hours to reach the place where the landslide occurred, due to which the relief and rescue work is challenging. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has also called the officials and inquired about the incident. All the hospitals in Panvel and Navi Mumbai have been informed and instructed to provide all necessary medical services to the affected.
