A man suffered minor burns when a mobile phone kept in his trouser pocket exploded on Tuesday.

Rehman said that the mobile phone, bought two years ago, caught fire unexpectedly.

“It (mobile phone) was in my pocket and fortunately the display was towards my body. I felt the heat and due to the sudden explosion my trousers caught fire,” he told PTI.

Rehman was admitted to a nearby hospital and was later discharged.
