Miss World pageant winner and actor Manushi Chhillar has a lot to look forward to in 2023. After making her acting debut last year with Akshay Kumar’s Samrat Prithviraj, she is now awaiting the release of her second project. The film, titled Tehran, is reportedly a geopolitical thriller inspired by true events and will see her in an action-oriented avatar. Though her debut film didn’t do well at the box office, it definitely catapulted Manushi to success in the entertainment industry. The actress recently spoke about bagging a role in Samrat Prithviraj and its relation with Deepika Padukone’s Bajirao Mastani.
She told Mid-Day, “There is everything special about my debut in a film about the life and exploits of Emperor Prithviraj Chauhan. I remember my most intense and challenging audition for the film was because I was given a scene in which Deepika Padukone did an incredible performance in Bajirao Mastani! I knew I would have to do a good job to get Prithviraj and thankfully Adi sir, my director Chandraprakash ji, Shanu Sharma and the YRF team were impressed by my effort.
He said, “After the audition I was contacted and informed that I had made such a huge debut. I was ecstatic. It was a validation that I could pursue my dreams in this industry if I put my best foot forward.” Put it forward and continuously improve my skills to establish myself as a good actor.
Meanwhile, former Miss World and actress Manushi Chhillar is all set to make her red carpet debut at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in 2023, which is scheduled to take place from May 16 to 27 in a stunning coastal city on the French Riviera.
As far as his debut film Samrat Prithviraj is concerned,
Manushi played the role of Sanyogita.
The historical-action-drama was based on Prithviraj Raso, a Braj language epic poem about the life of Prithviraj Chauhan, a Rajput king of the Chahamana dynasty. The film also starred Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood, Manav Vij, Ashutosh Rana and Sakshi Tanwar in other important roles.
