Cherukuri Selja, Managing Director of Margadarsi Chit Fund Ltd, has moved the Telangana High Court seeking a direction to suspend the Look-Out-Circular (LOC) issued against her in offenses registered by the Andhra Pradesh Crime Investigation Department.
The writ petition filed by Ms. Selja, daughter-in-law of the media baron, and Chow, Chairman of Ramoji Group of Companies. Ramoji Rao, is likely to be heard by a vacation bench of the HC on Thursday. However, the copy of LOC was not shared with the petitioner. Ms Selja claimed that she had sent an email to the respondents on May 27 requesting them to withdraw the LOC, if it had been issued to them. The petitioner stated that she was cooperating with the investigators throughout. Hence, the mandatory condition for issue of LOC does not exist, the petitioner said.
Ms Shailaja said the Telangana High Court had already issued a direction on March 21, restraining the respondents from taking any coercive steps against them after a writ petition was filed in connection with the cases registered against them by the AP CID. was instructed. The petitioner submitted that issuing the LOC despite the direction of the High Court amounts to disobeying and disrespecting the order of the High Court.
