ministry of electronics and information technology (MeitY) Startup Hub and Google excited to bring back Apscale Academy Program – A growth and development program to train early to mid-scale startups to build high-quality apps for the world. AppScale Academy is Google’s growth and development program that trains early to mid-stage startups on how to build apps.
The Appscale Academy’s Class of 2022 saw apps from all sectors adopt learnings from the program to improve their UI, UX, security, user base, engagement rates and ratings. 1 out of 3 apps in the cohort doubled their visitor and install base during the program. MeitY Startup Hub and Google are now inviting applications for the Appscale Academy’s Class of 2023, which aims to help 100 more promising Indian startups scale their growth stories. This marks the second edition of the Apscale Academy programme. 100 startups will be selected based on criteria defined by industry experts, MeitY Startup Hub members and Google.
Apscale academy goes beyond metros
This year, MeitY Startup Hub and Google are stepping up their efforts to increase participation from startups beyond metro cities in India. Today, around 50% of startups in India come from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities of India. MeitY Startup Hub and Google will launch a multi-city roadshow with an aim to engage over 1000 startups in emerging hubs such as Surat, Indore, Coimbatore, Gangtok and Jaipur.
The second edition will mark a six-month program through which startups will be coached on multiple aspects of building successful apps including UX design, business model and monetization strategies, international expansion best practices and data protection and security practices. Startups will have access to virtual instructor-led webinars, self-learning materials and mentorship sessions with prominent local and global industry leaders. Many will also have the opportunity to pitch to prominent venture capitalists.
Applications will be accepted till February 6, 2023.
