Madhya Pradesh and Telangana ATS teams raided Bhopal and Chhindwara on Tuesday morning. 11 people have been arrested from both the places. Evidence has been found of their association with the radical Islamic organization Hizb-ut-Tahrir (HUT). A total of 16 HUT members were arrested across the country. 10 members have been arrested from Bhopal, 1 from Chhindwara, 5 from Telangana. A relative of the Bhopal gas tragedy activist is also included among those arrested. From engineers to teachers are also associated with this organization.

Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra said, MP ATS has also recovered objectionable literature from the arrested HUT members. Input was being received in this regard for a long time, after which this action was taken. This organization believes in going to any extent and resorting to violence to enforce Sharia law.

Remand of 10 members approved till May 19

Madhya Pradesh ATS produced 10 members of HUT arrested from Bhopal in the court. Here ATS asked for remand of all of them. While approving the remand, the court has handed over the matter to the ATS till May 19 for questioning. ATS officers will soon bring the accused arrested from Chhindwara and Hyderabad to Bhopal on transit remand. Officials associated with the Madhya Pradesh Police said that the arrested accused are teachers, software engineers, coaching teachers, auto drivers, computer technicians and laborers by profession.

Rashida Bi’s family also in custody

The suspects taken into custody include Wasim, the kin of Rashida Bi, founder of Chingari, an organization working for Bhopal gas victims. Rashida Bi said, ‘Wasim is innocent. He didn’t do anything. The police did not find anything in the house. Neither laptop nor mobile was found. He works in an organization working for differently-abled children. I will go to the High Court for that.

Fierce radicals wanted to connect the youth

According to the police, the accused arrested from Bhopal wanted to expand the organization across Madhya Pradesh. The accused were given the target of adding such youths in the organization, who are of fierce nature. At the same time, they should not have any hesitation in giving their lives.

Used to talk on dark web apps like ‘Rocket Chat’, ‘Shrima’

The accused, who were caught on charges of working for Hizb-ut-Tahrir organization, used to talk among themselves on dark web like ‘Rocket Chat’, ‘Shrima’. Significantly, apps like ‘Rocket Chat’, ‘Shrima’ are used by other terrorist organizations including ISIS.

Wanted to spread panic in big cities of the country

It was told from the police headquarters that the operatives of Hizb-ut-Tahrir had given the accused the task of connecting new youths in Bhopal. The task of preparing these youths for Jihad against Hindus was also entrusted to the accused arrested from Bhopal. Apart from this, he was asked to raise funds and necessary resources for the organization. According to the police, the accused were also planning to spread panic in big cities of the country by carrying out major incidents.

The accused had also done Reiki with drones to target the big cities of the country. They were planning to carry out the big incident by preparing a map of these cities. Even before the plans of the accused could be fulfilled, the ATS raided and arrested them.

Suspicious material also found information

Suspicious documents and anti-national material have also been recovered from the detained people. However, there is no official confirmation about this. Bhopal’s Aishbagh police station in-charge Chaturbhuj Rathore told that we have no information in this matter. The families of three people came to the police station and told that some people posing as policemen entered the house and took the boys away.

HUT more dangerous than ISIS
