Further, according to an official statement, the Vice-Chancellor’s resolution was passed unanimously by the House. The syllabus for 4th, 5th and 6th semesters of various courses under the Undergraduate Curriculum Framework (UGCF) 2022 was passed in the meeting.

The VC also emphasized on the teachings of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar and many other stalwarts.

The meeting also considered the recommendations of the Standing Committee regarding the BA course proposed by the Department of Philosophy and approved the same unanimously along with the Head of the Department.

BA courses offered by the Department of Philosophy include “Philosophy of Dr. Ambedkar”, “Philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi” and “Philosophy of Swami Vivekananda”. Further, the Vice-Chancellor requested the Head of the Department of Philosophy to explore the possibility of including Savitribai Phule in the curriculum.

The Academic Council meeting of the University of Delhi also approved the setting up of the Center for Tribal Studies, which said it would be a multidisciplinary center for studies on the various tribes of India.

“The main objective of the center was to understand the term “tribe” from an India-centric perspective, to study their social, cultural, linguistic, religious, economic and environmental aspects and to study the role and contribution of tribal leaders in various fields. era,” read the statement.
