Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi recently celebrated their 5th wedding anniversary. The two met at a friend’s gathering and with time their friendship blossomed into a deep relationship. To the surprise of their fans, they tied the knot in 2018 in an intimate ceremony at a gurudwara. A few months later, in November 2018, their daughter Mehr was born, followed by their son in October 2021. In a recent interview, Neha Dhupia revealed that she would not have married Angad if her mother had not approved of the relationship.
The actress told Bollywood Bubble, ‘If you want to know the truth, when I was in another relationship, my mother was asking me to marry Angad. So please, can I tell you, my mother loves Angad very much. They’d say, ‘But he’s so nice, why are you dating other people? He is in his own house.
Meanwhile, Neha Dhulia’s mother said, “I remember it was evening time, and everyone was having tea, and they said they wanted to get married. We said, ‘do it’. This was our reaction, as we have been after him to get married for the longest time. And now that she’s coming out to us and telling us she wants to, what could be better? We asked, ‘When to do it?’
On the work front, the pair will soon be seen together in a comedy-drama written by Chetan Bhagat. The shooting of the film has already started, with the first schedule being shot in Mumbai. Angad will play the role of Raghavan Rao, while Neha will play his wife Savi. The plot revolves around a married couple facing the challenges of the Covid-19 lockdown. For fans who loved watching Neha Dhupia on Roadies, the actress will not be returning as the gang leader this season.
