NQAS evaluation of Valparai Government Hospital done. Coimbatore News – Times of India

Coimbatore : Valparai Government Hospital had to go through National Quality Accreditation Standard ,NQAS) Evaluation from July 11 to July 13. A panel of central government assessors conducted the assessment.
According to health department sources, the center will provide Rs 10,000 per bed every year for an NQAS certified health centre.
A 60-bed government hospital was assessed for NQAS certification on the basis of parameters such as case management, building, workforce and treatment provided to the patients.
The inspection was done under the purview of District Collector Dr GS Sameeran, while Joint Director of Health Services Dr E Chandra, NQAS National Evaluator of the district Dr E Raja and Dr M Venkatesh guided the hospital team in undergoing the assessment.
Joint Director Chandra said, “The government hospital has seven doctors and 10 staff nurses. In Coimbatore district, the Pollachi Government District Headquarters Hospital received the NQAS certification in 2018. Mettupalayam Government Hospital in 2019 and Annoor Government Hospital in 2022.”
