Actress Parineeti Chopra and her politician fiance Raghav Chadha were recently spotted in Amritsar. The couple went to the Golden Temple to seek blessings before their wedding. Their visit to Amritsar comes weeks after their engagement in New Delhi.
In the pictures, the couple is captured inside the Golden Temple amid heavy security. Parineeti was dressed in an off-white salwar-kameez and had a dupatta wrapped around her head, while Raghav wore a white kurta-pyjama and teamed it with a gray jacket. The couple was last seen together on their return from Udaipur, where they were said to be scouting for a wedding venue.
Let me tell you, Parineeti and Raghav got engaged on 13th May. The ceremony was attended by family and close friends, but was held behind closed doors and amid tight security due to the presence of top politicians. Parineeti’s cousin from film industry Priyanka Chopra Jonas and fashion designer Manish Malhotra were in attendance. The couple later released official photos of the engagement ceremony on their social media accounts.
Announcing their engagement on social media, Parineeti wrote in the caption, “Everything I prayed for…I said yes!”
Later, the couple thanked everyone for their love and blessings. The note read, “Raghav and I have been overwhelmed by the love and abundance of positivity we have received over the past few weeks, especially on our engagement. We both come from different worlds, and it is wonderful to know that our worlds also become one through our union. We’ve got a bigger family than we thought.”
Parineeti said in the note, ‘We have been very impressed by what we have read or seen and we cannot thank you all enough. We embark on this journey knowing that you all stand with us. Special wishes to our wonderful friends in the media. Thank you for being there all day and encouraging us.”
According to reports, Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha will get married in Rajasthan between September and November this year. Recently, the actress met the deputy director of the tourism department in Udaipur and inquired about tourist places and hotels. She was there with her family.
