Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday urged MPs to make full use of the monsoon session of Parliament for a comprehensive discussion on several bills that the government plans to bring in the interest of the people.
Talking to the media before the session, the Prime Minister said that this session is important in many ways because the bills being brought are directly related to the interests of the people.
PM Modi is also likely to interact with BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) MPs during the ongoing Monsoon Session of Parliament. The MPs have been divided into 10 groups to meet them separately.
Modi usually interacts with BJP MPs from different states during the session. PTI quoted sources as saying that various Union ministers and BJP functionaries have been given the charge of these groups for coordination.
As far as the functioning of the monsoon session is concerned, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi said the government has listed 31 bills for the session, which will have 17 sittings before it ends on August 11.
The session begins against the backdrop of 26 opposition parties forming the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) to take on the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
