Private buses will run on 150 feet ring road. Rajkot News – Times of India

Rajkot: Salute to Pressure From operatorsThe Rajkot Police Commissioner Partially quashed the notification banning Pvt. buses From entering the city during peak hours due to extremely severe traffic problems.
Five days ago, in a notification issued by Police Commissioner Raju Bhargava, the entry of buses was banned on 150 feet Ring Road from 8 to 9 pm.
It is a commercial street in the city, with BRTS routes and several hospitals, and often has traffic jams.
However, owners of private buses opposed the notification and made representations to local MLAs and MPs.
The police have now taken a lenient stand and allowed these buses to enter the busy road between 2 pm and 5 pm. However, the private operators are still not satisfied and want payment and parking for buses on this road for the whole day.
This is not the first time that the city police have had to struggle to enforce the rules of traffic and public safety. He had to repeal the mandatory helmet rule, stop issuing e-challans for traffic violations and allow hawkers to ply on the roads.
