Gurbani broadcast from Sri Harmandir Sahib can be shown on private channel even after 23rd July. The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) will soon be writing to the channel to broadcast Gurbani till further orders. SGPC is going to take this step on the orders of Jathedar of Shri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Raghbir Singh.
Jathedar of Shri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Raghbir Singh said- Sangat has been demanding for a long time that SGPC should start its own channel. Recently, SGPC has decided to start its own YouTube channel, which is a matter of great pleasure. But Sangat is demanding from Shri Akal Takht Sahib through phone and social media that all cannot do Darshan and Kirtan Sarvan through YouTube.

no internet facility everywhere
Internet is not available everywhere. There are many companions who neither have a smart phone nor a smart TV. Because of which most of the sangat will be deprived of darshan, kirtan, recitation of Gurbani etc. at Sachkhand Sri Harimandir Sahib.
Therefore, SGPC has been ordered to continue broadcasting Gurbani from Sachkhand Sri Harimandir Sahib through YouTube channel as well as any other channel so that no one is deprived of performing Gurbani Kirtan and having darshan.
Act could not be passed in the assembly
The bill passed in the assembly is yet to be signed by Governor Banwari Lal Purohit in the ongoing dispute between the SGPC and the Punjab government. After which the Sikh Gurdwara Act 1925 Amendment Bill has not yet become an Act. After which now SGPC is preparing to give Gurbani broadcast to private channel again till further orders.
Letter will be written to private channel
SGPC is soon going to write a letter to the private channel. SGPC General Secretary Gurcharan Singh Grewal has said that SGPC is soon going to write a letter to the private channel. In which it will be requested that the telecast of Gurbani be continued in the same manner till further orders. So that the order of Jathedar Raghbir Singh can be followed.

General Secretary Grewal said that SGPC will also launch its YouTube channel from 24th July. On which everyone will be able to hear and see Gurbani. Lessons have also been started for this, whose bhog will be conducted on July 24.
At the same time, efforts have also been started by SGPC to start its own channel. For this, a letter has also been written to the Broadcasting Ministry, so that all the formalities can be completed.
