Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra shared the first picture from Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha’s engagement ceremony festivities. While the actress refrained from revealing pictures of her cousin and soon-to-be brother-in-law ahead of the ceremony, she gave fans a glimpse of the outfit she plans to wear for the ceremony. Looks like Priyanka will wear a white saree from the house of Taurani.
On her Instagram Stories, Priyanka shared a close up shot of the outfit, giving fans a glimpse of the intricate work that went into the outfit. She also reveals that she has received a letter and a photograph along with the saree. Sharing the picture, Priyanka said, “Wow @toraniofficial Thank you not only for your excellent work but also for the letter of intent. big fan. Lots of love.”
Priyanka reached Delhi earlier in the day. Priyanka was seen wearing a coffee brown outfit with a baseball cap and sunglasses. He was welcomed by the media. Nick Jonas and his daughter Malti Mary were not seen with him.
It was reported on Friday that Priyanka would make a short trip home for Parineeti’s special day. A source told Hindustan Times, “It will be a short trip for Priyanka. She has put aside her work just to be there for the occasion and be there for her sister. She will reach Delhi on the morning of the 13th.” Her husband Nick Jonas is not expected to accompany her, and it remains to be seen whether she brings her daughter Malti as a surprise to the family.
The traditional engagement ceremony of Parineeti and Raghav is going on at Kapurthala House in Connaught Place. The Indian Express reported that the engagement would begin at 5 pm and the rings would be exchanged at 8 pm. Raghav has reportedly chosen a simple achkan, specially designed by his maternal uncle, fashion designer Pawan Sachdeva. Parineeti, on the other hand, will be sporting a beautiful traditional ensemble designed by Manish Malhotra.
