Jailer is likely to hit the theaters on August 10.
Rajinikanth has resumed the shooting of the Nelson Dilipkumar directorial and it will go on for the next 4 to 5 days.
Superstar Rajinikanth is gearing up for the release of his upcoming action thriller, Jailer, which has been locked for a grand all India release on 10th August. It was reported that Rajinikanth had completed filming his portions for Jailer a month back. However, as per the latest report in The Times of India, the actor has resumed the shooting of Nelson Dilipkumar’s film and it will continue for four to five days. The report states that the short schedule of the film is happening in Chennai.
Jackie Shroff and other members of the cast are expected to join the schedule, the last part of the film is said to happen soon. It is also being said that the wrap-up of the film will be announced by the team after completing the Chennai schedule. Touted to be an action-packed entertainer, Rajinikanth will play the role of jailer Muthuvel Pandian in Jailer.
The film’s production house Sun Pictures released the teaser earlier this month. It offered glimpses of some of the notable actors from the stellar star cast of Zeller. The cast includes Priyanka Mohan, Jackie Shroff, Shiva Rajkumar, Yogi Babu, Ramya Krishnan, Vasanth Ravi, Vinayakan and Tamannaah Bhatia in pivotal roles.
Malayalam actor Mohanlal will also be seen for an extended cameo along with Vikram actor, Jaffer Sadiq, who has joined Jailer for a pivotal role. Produced by Kalanithi Maran under the banner of Sun Pictures, the film’s music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
Rajinikanth is also working on Laal Salaam, which is directed by his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth. He will appear in an extended cameo in the sports drama. He first completed shooting his portions for the film in Mumbai and took a break to complete the jailor’s portion.
