much awaited song of Alia Bhatt And Ranveer Singh‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ released last week. In this year’s love song ‘Tum Kya Miley’, Ranveer is seen romancing Alia in the snow-clad hills of Kashmir.
The song has instantly gone viral and the on-screen chemistry of the duo has become the talk of the town. Alia recently shared a video of herself grooving to the song during a beach holiday. Now Ranveer has also shared a video of himself grooving to virtual locations, saying, “Alia ke reel jitni budget nahi tha #tumkyamaile #RRKPK @aliyabhatt.”
Karan Johar revealed that ‘Tum Kya Miley’ was his tribute to Yash Chopra, whom he called his “guru”. He wrote, “I remember my instinct in the beginning was that I wanted to film a love song that would be a complete tribute to me. Guru Yash Chopra…the mind that develops thought would say ‘You can’t match this or Can’t even dare to emulate it,’ but fanboys and ardent lovers of snow, chiffon, Kashmir’s stunning locales and sheer romance fared better I…Pritam Dada and I yearned for a song for ages were and it was unattainable, otherwise it would not be true.” Karan also apologizes to Aaliya for making her dance in a chiffon saree in the freezing temperature.
The first song from the much-awaited romance drama Tum Kya Miley has been trending ever since its release. However, the makers recently faced criticism for not mentioning Shreya Ghoshal in the credits. Director Karan Johar was criticized for disrespecting the popular singer.
Rocky and Rani’s love story also stars Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi. While the Guddi (1971) pairing of Dharmendra and Jaya will play Ranveer’s onscreen grandparents, Shabana will play Alia’s grandmother. The film will be released in theaters on 28 July 2023.
